- Tyres
- Servicing

The main thing that distinguishes Clyde’s electric car subscription from that of our rival Carvolution is the option of free charging. Clyde’s customers also benefit from the vignette on an annual basis, while Carvolution only includes it in the price once.
Carvolution offers a choice of around 15 to 20 car brands online – including ICE, hybrid and electric models.
Clyde also offers around 20 brands, but has focussed solely on electric vehicles since 2024, making us Switzerland’s most sustainable and simplest automotive e-mobility choice. Audi, BMW, Fiat, Mercedes-Benz – at Clyde you’ll find the big-name brands’ latest electric models.
Carvolution offers six different kilometre packages: 350, 850, 1,200, 1,850, 2,500 and 3,250 kilometres.
Clyde, on the other hand, offers ten different kilometre packages: 250, 500, 1,000, 1,250, 1,500, 2,000, 2,500, 3,000, 3,500 and 4,000 kilometres.
The two providers are very flexible where the booked kilometre package is concerned. Both Carvolution and Clyde allow you to dial up or dial down the selected kilometre package monthly to suit your needs. Clyde also allows you to carry unused kilometres over to the following month.
At Carvolution, subscription periods can run from 3 months to up to 48 months. Clyde also offers shorter subscription periods of 1 and 2 months.

Clyde’s monthly payments can include electricity at public charging stations and at private wallboxes if you choose the ‘Premium – with electricity’ option. If you charge the car privately, for example via your home wallbox or at work, your charging costs will be credited to you in the form of vouchers. Customers who choose the ‘Basic – without electricity’ option do not enjoy the Clyde Energy Benefit. With this option your charging costs are billed separately.

- Taxes
- Home delivery
- Vignette

The main thing that distinguishes Clyde’s electric car subscription from that of our rival Carify is the option of free charging.
While Clyde offers around 20 brands and focuses exclusively on electric models, Carify’s impressive range includes around 50 brands – and its fleet includes diesel, petrol, electric and hybrid models and more. This is largely due to the fact that all garages are able to use Carify as a platform where they can offer their stock vehicles as subscription models.
Carify offers five different kilometre packages: 750, 1,000, 1,750, 2,500 and 3,000 kilometres.
Clyde, on the other hand, offers ten different kilometre packages: 250, 500, 1,000, 1,250, 1,500, 2,000, 2,500, 3,000, 3,500 and 4,000 kilometres.
At Carify the minimum subscription periods are: 1, 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 36 or 48 months.
Carify only allows you to increase the kilometre package during the minimum subscription period. You can only reduce your kilometre package to suit your needs once the minimum subscription period has expired, and there is a charge for this.
For high-performance vehicles with over 350 hp, you need to be over 30 years of age.
Carify offers a choice of three insurance packages, all of which include third party, fire and theft and 24/7 roadside assistance in Europe. Each claim is dealt with individually.
- MINIMUM with CHF 1,500 excess per claim, no stationary damage cover
- BASIC with CHF 1,000 excess, includes stationary damage cover (max. 2 incidents/year).
- PREMIUM with CHF 0 excess and unlimited stationary damage cover.

Clyde vs FlatDrive: the key FAQs
At FlatDrive your monthly payment covers the following:
- Insurance
- Tyres
- Servicing
- Taxes
- Registration
- Vignette
The main thing that distinguishes Clyde’s electric car subscription from that of its rival Carify is the option of free charging.
While Clyde stocks around 20 brands and focuses exclusively on electric cars, FlatDrive’s large and impressively wide selection not only includes cars but also camper vans, motorcycles and e-bikes.
You can choose between 500, 900, 1,600, 2,100 and 3,300 kilometres. The individual vehicle page shows you which kilometre package is available.
Unlike Clyde, FlatDrive does not allow you to adjust the kilometre package to suit your needs. However, the total number of kilometres you have covered is debited from the available kilometre capacity for the entire subscription period rather than calculated per month.
At FlatDrive the minimum subscription periods are between 3 and 48 months.
FlatDrive doesn’t specify an age, but you need to own a permanent Swiss driver’s licence, category B.
At FlatDrive all vehicles come with third party and fully comprehensive cover. An excess of CHF 1,000 applies to each claim made under the comprehensive cover and a CHF 500 excess applies in the event of stationary damage. Other claims are not subject to an excess.
No. At FlatDrive (unlike at Clyde) your monthly payment does not include the cost of refuelling/charging your subscription car.
